How I got started

Hello my dear friends. I'm new to this Blogging thing so bare with me.

I would like to start by introducing myself. My name is Ann Venable, born Ann Marie Doolittle. I was born in Roswell, NM and grew up in Nampa, ID and Roswell, NM.

I have two older brothers and a younger sister. Both my older brothers have children, so I'm a loving aunt to two nieces, and two nephews.

I got married to my wonderful husband November 2014. I have two wonderful step sons. our oldest has a little boy about to be two, and our youngest just found out he is expecting. So we will soon have to wonderful grandchildren.

I would like to tell you how I got started crafting. At a young age my step mother taught me how to sew and embroider, so I have always enjoyed creating things. My love for making jewelry and cards came about in 2013. My step mom had purchased a few jewelry making books from Hobby Lobby, and we got together and started to make a few things. Well for me a few things turned into a lot lol. I ended up with so much stuff that I decided to try and sell it.

Then in 2016 I decided to try my hand at card making. I looked it up on YouTube and found a lady I enjoyed following very much, Brandyscards.com. Through her I found Stampin Up and Paper Pumpkin. I purchase most of my card making supplies through them.

In 2017-2018 I created my business Ann's Handmade Shop/ Jewelry & More, along with my website. Along with my crafting, I am also a writer. I go by the Pen Name of Marie V. Doolittle. My first book, Rabeca, The Homecoming, can be found on Amazon.com. I am currently working on the second part to that book, as well as another book.
